Pool Hall:

Our primary function is as a pool hall. We have 11 full-size pool tables, 1 full-size snooker table, and a ping pong table.

Want to learn how to play? Sign up for the billiards classes offered through the UO. Or ask any of the employees who are always eager to help. If you're a frequent player, ask about buying a pool account which could save you money.

Campus Cash:

Your UO ID Card can be used as a debit card for purchases on campus. The Break accepts UO Campus Cash and we can also make deposits to your Campus Cash account.

Please note: we only accept cash and UO Campus Cash. We do not accept credit cards.

Lost & Found:

Lost something? Give it a week or two, come to us, and we might have it. We are the lost and found for the entire campus.

Lockers:

Wouldn't it be convenient to have a secure place to store your things on campus? We've got just the thing. You can rent them out by the term or the entire year and it's only $4 a term.

TV:

Got some time to kill in between classes? Need something bigger then that small screen in your dorm room? Come watch TV at the Break. We got a nice flat screen HD TV. It's first come, first serve, and we've always got the important games on.

Board Games:

These are FREE to check out! We have over a dozen different games from chess to RISK. Come on in and check out the entire list.

Change Machine:

Laundry time? Just like quarters? You have come to the right place.

Relax:

Our most important goal is to provide students with a place to relax and be comfortable. Come on in!

a little about our staff and what we do

Eric: I'm the boss! I'm currently a 5th year senior (whoo~!) majoring in Japanese and Econ with a minor in Business. For hobbies I do a bit of everything including working out, videogames, pool, reading, etcetcetc. Come over to the Break and ask if you're curious. As far as post-undergrad goes, I'm applying to the Peace Corps and hopefully I'll go to grad school after that. We shall see.

Alex: Hey my name is Alex! I'm part of the special events team at the break. If you have any ideas for events we could host here come and talk to me! I'm a digital arts major and business minor in my 4th year. I love anything art involved, exercise, outdoors, dancing, etc... and of course pool! Come on in and say hello sometime.

Carey: Hey! My name is Carey Carr. I am a sophmore and an Education Major here at UO. I hope to be an elementary school teacher one day. I came to Eugene from Beaverton, Oregon. Though I have lived, for many years, in Arizona. I love to play pool. I might not be very good but its great to get a chance to practice. My mom in fact was very very good at pool. Used to win hundreds of competitions in California. Who knows maybe its in the blood and Ill get really good too! In my free time I love to spent time with my friends and family. I love going to the beach and shopping. But I also love to ride horses and camp. I am pretty outgoing so when you come in feel free to chat! I love meeting new people :)

Eric: Hey everyone! I'm the other Eric that works at the pool hall. I'm one of the boss's loyal underlings. It's my first year working here, so I don't know as much about pool as the other Eric...just yet. I'm a senior studying human physiology and a little bit of chem and business thrown in. it still surprises me how little exposure the Break gets. So if you're reading this you should come down and bring all of your friends, we have cable!

Hoang: WAT UP PEOPLE!!! My name is Hoang (like Hong Kong) and I've been working here for about a year and some change now. I coordinate the 8 Ball Pool Tournament here and they occur about once or twice every term. Everyone is always invited to sign up to compete, but you can also come watch as well!!! I have a few hobbies. I break dance, if any of you guys are familiar with Ashes to Ashes Eugene, I was on the crew that won that competition last year in the EMU Ballroom. I practice weekly at the Rec so if anyone wants to learn how to break dance shoot me an email. I also am really into cars and racing. I'm getting ready for track season coming up at Portland International Raceway in the Spring so if anyone is interested in coming to watch or wants to know what I drive shoot me an email as well!! Hope to see you guys in here!!!

Will: What's good? My name is Will Sheldon; I'm from Las Vegas, Nevada. I'm a sophomore here at the University of Oregon. My major is FHS (Family Human Services). I really enjoy my major, and find myself getting wrapped up in my classes. I'm a member of Phi Delta Theta, so outside of school that is my life. I also coordinate all the 9-Ball Tournaments here, so if you're interested in Greek Life at U of O or shooting some pool, stop by and say what's up. You can find me here during the morning shifts.
